EGGS IN ALL WAYS !
The Green Lounge in Hong Kong…is seriously a cool little restaurant in the heart of Sheung Wan that will bring some joy in your mouth. As big breakfast fans (bbf’s) at Salad HK, the Green Lounge has been one of our all time favorites for a couple of months now.
The decor is simple, the food also…but simple sometimes means good and healthy which TGL manages to get served on your table in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The staff is very friendly and the place seems to be owned by a Hong Kong family.
The food is clearly oriented western homestyle and many people that have been in hongkong for a while now would expect it to be another sino-western type of restaurant. Not at all as we would say locally ! The taste that is served in your dishes will reflect some of the tastes we can remember from our childhood or our good friend making us a sunday brunch in Big Wave Bay on a rooftop terrace with 27 degrees Celsius on a 3rd of february…lets stop dreaming since TGL will bring you at least the flavors (but sadly there is no terrace).
Eggs in all kind of ways seem to be a big part of TGL’s specialties but there are many other dishes to discover.
