WHY 50 Hong Kong – Health and taste in one place !
WHY 50 Hong Kong, the new healthy place in town – It is always a pleasure when we leave a restaurant in Hong Kong and have the feeling we ate something healthy and at an affordable price.
It is becoming harder to find good affordable and healthy food places in the area of sheung wan since ground floor rents have been skyrocketing lately.
This morning i was googling what best to eat in Hong Kong and more specifically in Sheung Wan where finding healthy and original food to eat is easy but will cost you a certain amount of money compared to what will result in your dish.
True taste of fresh
Why 50 seems to have adopted another strategy of cooking simple home-style food and making great coffee but not forgetting a wide variety of teas that are available throughout the entire day.
The staff is very friendly and the Chef will cook your dish in front of your eye so no need to ask them if it is freshly cooked or reheated…it will always be as fresh as it can be, delivered on a wooden board to compliment the style. The dish is eye appealing but even better when you are able to dig in.
The quantities are just right so that you leave the place with a full stomach.
Count around 150 HKD if you want to have lunch with a large coffee or a large tea. A bit pricey but that can be explained by the location that is probably also a bit pricey. So all in all if you want to eat a bit healthier then you need to pay a bit higher.
Overall HKSalad really recommends you to give it a try. It is definitely a place where i see myself go once every two weeks or bring one of my clients who wants to eat lighter but healthy food.
Enjoy !!
