Hong Kong is all about dim sum, and HOT IN A POT is no different but with a little twist. This restaurant offers “dim sum fusion”, a mixed of traditional dim sum and a stir fry lunch menu.
The restaurant’s first outlet is in Sham Tseng (深井) in the New Territories. The outlet in Tin Hau (天后) is their second. Known more for their hot pot, the restaurant’s decor is relatively bland by Hong Kong standards, with blacks and greys dominating the interior.
Hot In A Pot has your conventional siu mai, and shrimp dumpling dim sum but they also offer mini shrimp burgers, shrimp spring rolls with rice noodle wrap, bite size meat pies, some stir fried dishes and many more that are rather unique for lunch. The cost is reasonable, an average meal for 3 people is around HKD280 which includes 7-8 dim sum plates and a fried rice. If you’re out and about in Tin Hau, check this place out. A surprisingly nice alternative to the standard dim sum restaurants.
